Solution:
Date Entry Days lets you specify a number of days, in the past or future, for typical date entries. When entering dates, if the Employee enters a date more than Date Entry Days from today, the Employee will receive an Alert. For example, if you enter 45 for Date Entry Days, if the Employee enters a date two months away, Big Business will warn the Employee that the date entered is more than 45 days in the future (or past). This setting may help prevent errors, including entering the wrong year when a new year rolls around. The Alert is not displayed when the date is changed using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
Lock is an additional setting that prevents the Employee from entering a date more than Date Entry Days from today. For example, clicking Lock with Date Entry Days set to zero, 0, will prevent the Employee from entering any date other than today's. Lock also prevents a date change using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
Big Business Client relies on the date settings on the computer running Big Business Server, so a changed or incorrect date setting on the computer running Big Business Client is ignored. Without Lock, setting Date Entry Days to zero, 0, does not display any Alert.
