Big Business 3.0.7 adds a new indicator to alert you to Unsaved Changes. When you open any record, such as the Vendor Card pictured, Big Business verifies that the record is not In Use or Locked by any other user or setting. If the record can be modified, enterable fields appear in white, and you can make changes.
If the record is Locked or In Use, Big Business will display the Lock sign (small yellow padlock) or the (yellow) In Use sign directly beneath the OK button in the upper right hand corner of the window. If you cannot modify the record the fields will also be grayed out, and any date(s) displayed in red. If the record is modifiable, no sign is displayed.
As soon as you make changes to a modifiable record, Big Business displays the Unsaved Changes sign. In the pictured Vendor Card, the letter 'a' has been added to the Vendor name. The Unsaved Changes sign appears as an inactive, green checkmark in the upper right hand corner, indicating that changes have been made.
The Unsaved Changes sign has been added to provide more user feedback. It does not alter the behavior of the program. Action buttons behave as before:
• To Save changes, click the OK button (green checkmark) or OK and Create New button (checkmark-plus)
• To discard unsaved changes, click the Cancel button (red x) and confirm that you do not want to save changes.
