Deselect Default Field on Cards
Description:
When you open a Card, such as the Customer Card or Item Card, Big Business automatically selects the contents of the first field. So it is easy to start making changes. Accidental typing, though, might make an accidental change--that you can no longer find Item Code 123 because it has been replaced with x or a space.
Deselect Default Field on Cards minimizes accidental changes by not selecting a default field. You must Tab or Click before you begin making changes.
Big Business 6.0.7 adds this option to the Employee Prefs. This Solution describes its use. (6098)

Deselect Default Field on Cards reduces entry errors by not selecting the default field when opening Cards, such as the Customer Card or Item Card. When the card opens no field is selected so errant typing does not overwrite anything.
Without this option, Big Business selects the first field on a card and accidental typing might overwrite the current entry, requiring the user to Cancel and choose Don't Save Changes to correct the error.
With Deselect Default Field on Cards, all users must Tab or Click to select a field to edit to make changes to a card.
To enable Deselect Default Field on Cards:
1. Go to the Employee toolbar
2. Open the Employee Prefs
3. Click the checkbox for Deselect Default Field on Cards
4. Click OK to Save changes to Employee Prefs
