Date Entry Days

Big Business includes controls to protect against the entry of incorrect dates, such as accidentally entering the wrong year after a new calendar year has begun, or trying to backdate a transaction. Date Entry Days displays an Alert, or with Lock prevents using a back- (or future-) dating error.

This Solution describes the Date Entry Days and Lock settings on the Access tab of the Employee Card. (5998)

Date Entry Days lets you specify a number of days, in the past or future, for typical date entries. When entering dates, if the Employee enters a date more than Date Entry Days from today, the Employee will receive an Alert.

Lock is an additional setting that prevents the Employee from entering a date more than Date Entry Days from today.

The default entry of zero days does not display any alert. Clicking Lock with Date Entry Days set to zero, though, prevents the Employee from entering any date other than today's.
