Inactive Accounts


Big Business 8 adds features for Inactive Accounts:
• removed from Account Listing
• removed from Category Listing
• removed from Bank Account Listing

This Solution describes these features. (6245)






The Inactive checkbox appears on the Account Card. To mark a Bank Account or Category as Inactive, go to the Account Card on the Bookkeeper toolbar.

Inactive Accounts are removed from the Account Listing, Category Listing, and Bank Account Listing. This prevents their being selected for a new use. This does not intefere with their being used as a current default, setting, or assignment on an an existing entry. Marking an Expense as Inactive removes it from Categories to assign to new Vendors or Bills, but does not block usage by Vendors or Bills already using it.

Inactive Accounts can be found on the Account Searches by clicking All or using the Inactive search criterion to find, Inactive Is Yes/No.

Special Access on the Employee Card includes Show Inactive which shows the user Inactive Accounts in the Account Listing, Category Listing, and Bank Account Listing.
