Foreign Currency in Big Business makes it easy to select a foreign currency and print.
Foreign Currency needs Professional Edition plus a Setup charge to add Accounts for Payables (A/P), Receivables (A/R), Exchange, and Foreign Exchange (FX) Gain/Loss.
You may then enter Customers and Vendors and their transactions in foreign currency, to print easily, and automatically account for currency rates changing before payment.
Currencies lets you create Customers that use foreign currency with a few extra steps.
Create a Customer and on the History tab click Foreign. Then, choose their Currency. Click the Currency checkbox to display amounts in their currency using a preset color.
Before saving, you must assign the Receivables Category that matches their currency. To add new Currencies and Receivables accounts follow the steps in Currencies Setup.
Currencies lets you print transactions that use foreign currencies using regular forms.
In Print Options, use the pulldown in the Settings column to select the FX-Currency. This will print selected forms in foreign exchange currency amounts including Symbols.
Symbols are set following the steps in Currency Setup to Add/Edit the currency entry in the Company card and assign the color used on-screen and Symbol used in printing.
Currencies lets you create Orders that use foreign currencies with a few simple steps.
Start an Order for a Customer that uses a foreign currency, and Big Business will switch to Expanded tab, assign the Currency, and turn on Currency Display checkbox.
You may complete the order using foreign currency amounts, or to use your currency, switch to the Order tab, or the Profit tab, or toggle the Currency Display checkbox.
Currencies lets you create Invoices that automatically post to Accounts for Currency.
Clicking the Posting information button on the Categories tab of the Invoice show this. Big Business posts the invoice in their currency to the A/R Currency account created.
Big Business posts the difference for the foreign currency amount to the A/R Currency Exchange account created. The net of these is the amount of Invoice in your currency.
Using Currencies adds a few steps for entering sales or purchase in another currency.
