Since Last

Since Last lets you get orders from Shopify without changing their Status to Archived.

Shopify Connect uses Status to get orders that are Open and setting them to Archived. This may interfere with using Shopify Dashboard or accessories for order management.

Switch to Since Last with a click and BigBusiness will get new orders as they come in.



  Shopify Authorized

Shopify Authorized orders need special handing with Since Last to separate POS sales.

This function is transparent and is noted here to reduce confusion when using Shopify. This function does not affect exising setups not using Since Last and instead Archiving.

ShopifyPOS Connect lets BigBusiness get your ShopifyPOS customers and invoices.
Separately. If you don't have POS, the point of sale option for Shopify, please ignore.

Shopify Connect gets your Shopify customers and orders from your web store orders. ShopifyPOS Connect adds your in-person sales in ShopifyPOS for iPhone, iPad, etc..

This chapter covers setup of the POS option to separate sales, receipts, cash drawers.



  Shopify Connect

Shopify Connect has been updated to separate your online and in-person transactions. Shopify Plugin handles two channels, Shopify Connect and new ShopifyPOS Connect.

You might want online sales to become Sales Orders while POS sales become Invoices. You might want each online customer saved, while walk-ins might not be. Up to you.

Shopify Plugin offers more options for capturing, or not, sorting, or not, and whatnot.



  ShopifyPOS Connect

ShopifyPOS Connect helps you get sales entered in ShopifyPOS into BigBusiness.



  Default POS Customer

Default POS Customer lets you choose a customer for unidentified ShopifyPOS sales.

ShopifyPOS lets you choose Shopify customers or add information like email address. BigBusiness can match them to Customers in BigBusiness using their email addresses.

If a customer is not identified you may want a special Customer in BigBusiness to be used. Note this is not the Default Customer for Shopify but special for ShopifyPOS.



  Import POS Orders

Import POS Orders lets you choose Automatic or your own import mapping for sales.

ShopifyPOS lets you makes sales in person using iPhone, iPad, etc.. In doing so, you may or may not identify customers or you may want to use a Default POS Customer.

Start with Automatic to get things working. Then, if needed, create you own Mapping by going to Connect toolbar, ShopifyPOS tool, and Save with a name you choose here.



  Shopify POS Register

Shopify POS assigns a Register ID to each device running Shopify POS to track cash.

  Shopify Source ID

Shopify Source ID helps identify the Web site or POS register that entered each order. If you have one web site, no problem, but you may have many POS registers or apps.

Each iPhone, iPad, or Android device you put Shopify POS on is tracked as a Register. If you accept Cash, Shopify POS will keep track how much you should have for each.

In turn, BigBusiness can use the Source ID to identify the Register and set any presets. For starters, you might want Entered By filled in on each Invoice for future reference.



  Shopify POS

Shopify POS is a tool on the Connect toolbar for getting data using Shopify Connect.
Specifically, it gets the customers and sales entered in Shopify POS apps and registers.

Choose a default mapping, or one that you've saved, to import manually, in batches. Or, create a new mapping to save and use with Auto-Connect to automatically update.



  Shopify

Shopify is a tool on the Connect toolbar for getting data via Shopify Connect settings.
Specifically, it gets the customers and online orders placed in your Shopify web store.

Using a default mapping, or one that you've modified and saved, you can batch Import. Or, create a new mapping to save and use with Auto-Connect to automatically update.

Editions help you take advantage of new offerings or technologies and needed updates.

  Shopify ID

Shopify ID is automatically saved for each Customer, Order, Product for fast lookup.

On Customers Search in BigBusiness you can Add (+) a column for the Shopify ID. In the Find dialog you can also search Shopify ID using a pulldown for Yes or No.

This makes it easy to find your Customers who have Shopify accounts and use Show.



  Shopify Source

Shopify Souce lets you show a column on Customers to see if they are Web or POS.

In Customers Search in BigBusiness, click Add (+) to add the column Shopify Source.



  Show Shopify

Show Shopify lets you connect to your Shopify quickly to show a customer account.

On the Customer card in BigBusiness, go to the Show pulldown and choose Shopify. This will open your Shopify dashboard and show you the customer account quickly.

When you connect Shopify POS to BigBusiness you may have updates to Customers when they order from the Web or when they are invoiced in person on Shopify POS.
